Nearly 1500 of Pittsburgh “tastemakers” gathered for Pittsburgh Magazine’s annual Best Restaurants Party (#BRParty) held at Heinz Field on June 12, 2017. An otherwise typical Monday night brought together foodies to enjoy sips, sweets & eats while a live band set the party tone for the evening. While I wouldn’t describe myself as your typical local foodie, the scene introduced me to new plates from restaurants that are now permanently on my “date night” list.
I love the idea of hors d’oeuvres for dinner so hopping from table to table tasting from new eateries was my idea of a Monday well spent. Now entering my late twenties, I’ve been dedicated to trying new things. I might have been previously known as the kind of person who likes to play it safe, especially when it comes to food, but soon-to-be married to a devoted foodie at heart, I’ve expanded my horizons a bit. Needless to say, I’m all about that foodie life these days. At one point, I even had a rootbeer float on a stick. I can now say my life is complete.
